This will be the first in a series of Portrayal DWG sessions comprised of presentations that help advance the understanding of problems, capabilities, regulations, and solutions in the area of Cartographic Portrayal. With the adoption of the SymCore abstract standard designed to allow many encodings and use cases in different environments, OGC is now well positioned to show how existing and emerging portrayal scenarios may interoperate. This meeting’s presentations include:
Chris Little, UKMet Office - Aviation and Meteorological Portrayal Use Cases
Jerome St-Louis, Ecere - Portrayal capabilities in GNOSIS Map Server and GNOSIS Cartographer
Visual Style Editor, OGC API - Styles, Styles transcoding through CMSS (SLD/SE, Mapbox GL) and GeoPackage Portrayal Extension
Stan Tillman, Hexagon - Hexagon: Making Sense of Your Data Through Portrayal
Serena Coetzee, University of Pretoria - International Cartographic Association: How can we contribute to the work of the OGC Portrayal DWG?
Proposals for presentations for the September TC meeting are being accepted – at this time we have one presentation lined up on Portrayal and Accessibility.
