3D Geospatial Modeling &s Simulation Summit II

Wednesday 29 November 2017, 0830-1130
hosted at the Orange County Convention Center, Room S230F

Please join us at the I/ITSEC venue for an update on activities being advanced as part of the 3D Geospatial Modeling and Simulation effort supported by the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), and the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) and leaders from across the M&S community. The meeting will convene from 0830-1130 in room S230F of the Orange County Convention Center. We invite you to attend and participate. Please register at: https://portal.ogc.org/public_ogc/register/Geo3DMSSummit.php.

In September of 2016, the 3D Geospatial Modeling & Simulation Summit drew more than 100 attendees and an array of presenters to discuss and more closely coordinate on opportunities and challenges related to improving interoperability within the M&S environment, as well as achieving enhanced interoperability with the broader geospatial IT domain.

Our vision points to a global model of the world supported by a range of interoperable products, processes, services and data sources. Our goal through standards and related best practices is to improve the ability to ingest and process an ever-expanding array of sources, to improve agility of the processing environment, and further enable geospatial technologies to rapidly mobilize M&S products in planning and command and control.

Our Summit II event will convene in conjunction with the I/ITSEC annual conference in Orlando, Florida on the morning of November 29. For more information please contact Dan Maxwell (USGIF), David Graham (SISO) or Mark Reichardt (OGC). Contact information is available on the Geospatial 3D M&S Wiki homepage.
