Come and join us for the 111th OGC Technical Committee meeting. Hosted by KU Leuven, Hexagon, Informatie Vlaanderen, and Merkator. This will be an amazing week with a broad range of meetings and topics being discussed. You don't have to be an OGC member to attend an OGC meeting. Whilst some meetings will be member only, many are open to anyone to attend and new voices are always welcome.

Train
The airport train station is located below the arrivals hall (basement level -1). Up to 2 trains per hour connect the airport to Leuven train station. The Standard train ticket costs approximately € 9.20 for one way and the trip takes 14 min.
When buying a return ticket (€18.40) you need to specify your return date and you will get two separate tickets (go and return tickets). The train to Leuven usually leaves from platform 3 but works are currently ongoing at the station and a different platform may be designated. On weekdays, trains to Leuven leaves at 18 minutes and 37 minutes past the hour. During weekends and public holidays, only one train is available at 37 minutes past the hour. If you are running late and there is a queue for tickets, just board the train. You must indicate to the controller asap that you don’t have a ticket and you wish to buy it on board. The journey takes 14 minutes and Leuven is the first stop; when returning Brussels Airport is the first stop. The destination of the train on the screen will be ‘Leuven’ or ‘Landen’.) The OGC Tc venue is 5 minutes walking distance from the station.
Bus
(Not recommended!) The airport line takes 30 to 45-minutes between Brussels Airport and Leuven station (buses nrs. 616, 651, 652). Ticket price: €3. More info on: https://www.delijn.be/en/
Taxi
Official Taxis (with a taximeter) are permanently available in front of the arrivals airport hall. The fare from the airport to the Leuven Station is normally around €70 depending on traffic.
There are regular direct trains to Leuven station, a standard ticket costs € 5.40.
BY CAR (GPS)
Please don't forget that driving in Belgium can be problematic due to frequent traffic jams, nevertheless you can program your GPS with the venue coordinates: Lat: 50.877227; Long: 4.716547, or please insert as street name: "Tiensevest".
From Brussels International Airport: 25 km
Near the venue there is a parking with a cost of 20.75 € day.(24h)

Easily accessible and located in a green and tranquil setting in Tervuren, the Palais des Colonies, a dependency of the Royal Museum of Africa, is an exceptional place with its authentic 19th century dining room.

Due to the Werchter Rock Festival during the weekend following the OGC TC meeting, hotel prices will go up (and availability go down) from Thursday to Friday (and following days). So we advise to book as soon as possible.
If you are having problems finding hotel accommodation. It’s a very reasonable option to stay at a Hotel in Brussels. The event takes place at only 5 min walking from the Leuven railway station. It is only about 25 min by train from Brussels-Central to Leuven, with at least 3 trains every hour, up until midnight.

All OGC member organisations have at least 1 complimentary registration and some have more depending on what level of membership they have. OGC Members need to register using their portal account email.
